COVID-19 Updates
PHASE THREE. Our region continues to stay in Phase 3 of Restore Illinois, the statewide five-phase public health plan to reopen. While we are safer than we were at the start of the pandemic, COVID-19 is still being actively transmitted in our region. You should continue to take precautions, especially by keeping a six foot distance from others and by wearing a face covering while in public.
FREE TESTS. ou can get COVID-19 testing without symptoms, insurance, a prior appointment, or a doctor's referral at any IDPH community-based testing site. The closest site is at 102 W. Water St. in Waukegan and is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or while daily supplies last.
TAKE NOTE: IDPH urges anyone who recently attended rallies, protests, or other mass gatherings to get tested for COVID-19 five to seven days after participating (even if asymptomatic) or immediately if symptoms develop. It is critical that any new cases be identified early before they promote community spread.
LIBRARY UPDATE. Start placing your hold requests: Curbside Pickup will be available to Lake Bluff Library cardholders beginning June 15th. What makes June 15th even better? The Library’s new autorenewal policy starts the same day. More information about both of these services is available on the Curbside Pickup page on the Library website. Curbside Pickup is sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Bluff Library.
PARK DISTRICT UPDATE. The Lake Bluff Park District began outdoor group fitness and indoor personal training on Monday, June 8. Summer camps and tennis lessons will begin Monday, June 15.
