Upcoming Committee-of-the-Whole (January 27, 6:15 p.m.). The consensus of the COW was to extend the Village's short-term rental pilot program for an additional one year to collect more information.
Upcoming Village Board Meeting (January 27). The Village Board will:
- Clarified that the Village's policies against sexual harassment apply to elected and appointed officials.
- Approved a temporary construction easement agreement for the Forest Cove/Moffett Ravine Stabilization Project.
The Historic Preservation Commission opened an advisory review conference concerning the demolitions proposed at the Stonebridge development. The owner has proposed to demolish the manor house, the carriage house, and certain landscape features that are designated Village landmarks.
- The Commission toured the property Monday, January 27 at 9 a.m. Watch the video.
- The Commission opened its advisory review conference Thursday, January 31 at 7 p.m. Following a presentation by the developer and public comment, the Commission continued the conference and requested the Village Board approve a 30-day extension of the maximum demolition delay period.
Upcoming Sustainability and Community Enhancement Ad Hoc Committee Meeting (February 3). The SEC will hear informational updates regarding: Sunrise Park and Beach erosion; recent activities by the Lake Bluff Open Lands Association including their stewardship of the Skokie Land and Water Preserve; and landscape design for the Route 176 Corridor.
Upcoming Architectural Board of Review Meeting (February 4). The Board will consider a sign permit application by Verizon (235 S. Waukegan Road).
