Village Headlines
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY. Village offices will be closed to the public on Monday, January 20. Scheduled solid waste collections will not be affected.
WATER METER REPLACEMENTS are starting that will affect every water account in the Village. Some households will receive letters soon to schedule appointments. Click for more information.
FACE-OFF, KICK OFF. To kick off the Village's 125th celebrations, Kiwanis will host a 3-on-3 pond hockey tournament on Saturday, February 1. Events start at 8:30 a.m. and food will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Click for details.

Recent Village Board Meeting (January 13). The Village Board:
- Swore in Mark Dewart to fulfill the vacancy of Trustee Eric Grenier.
- Directed Staff to prepare changes to the text of the Village's Zoning Regulations to eliminate the height limit and associated variation process applicable to planned mixed-use developments. The changes will be the subject of an upcoming public hearing before the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.
- Receive a report regarding an agreement with Ring Home Security to solicit home security footage for police use.
- Approved:
- A manual reading fee for water accounts who do not have an automatic reader installed.
- Administrative amendments to the Village's backyard chicken and bee pilot programs.
- Landscaping and parking changes at the Animal Hospital of West Lake Forest (999 Sherwood Drive).
- Metal flashing installation at the Lake Bluff Library (123 E. Scranton Avenue).
The Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting (January 15) was cancelled. The preliminary workshop for a proposed 12-unit development at 500 Arden Shore Road will be conducted at a later date.
There are no public meetings scheduled for the week of January 20.
