ART FAIR. Artists on the Bluff hosts their art show on the Village Green this Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
AUTO SHOW. The Lake Bluff History Museum Auto Show is next Saturday, June 22. Downtown will be closed to through traffic starting at 1 p.m.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS underway include:
- Moffett Road land bridge and related improvements.
- Sidewalk, curb replacement, and road resurfacing work will continue next week on various streets. (Click for resurfacing details.)
- Water main replacements on Cambridge Lane.
PATRIOTIC DUTY. Lake Bluff's 4th of July Parade is run totally by volunteers - and they need your help! Can you can contribute a few hours on July 3 or July 4 to this community celebration? Some positions end as early as 10:15 a.m. to allow you to enjoy the parade with your family. GREEN BAY ROAD RECONSTRUCTION OPEN HOUSE. On June 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the Public Safety Building Community Room, the Village will hold an open house regarding the upcoming reconstruction of Green Bay Road south of Route 176 including roadway, pedestrian, utility, and stormwater improvements. All are welcome to attend. Representatives from the Village of Lake Bluff will be available to answer individual questions. Individuals who are unable to attend the meeting may submit comments to:

KEEP YOUR VALUABLES BEHIND THAT LOCKED (CAR) DOOR. Most Lake Bluff auto burglaries involve an unlocked car. Don't be a victim. Lock your car and don't leave any valuables in view.
Recent Board and Committee Actions
Recent Committee of the Whole (June 10, 6:15 p.m.). The COW discussed next steps for Choosing Lake Bluff, a plan to further the Village's historic preservation efforts.
Recent Village Board Meeting (June 10). The Village Board:
- Received a presentation regarding a recycling app created by Green Minds LF/LB.
- Approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Office of the Secretary of State for grant-funded improvements to Sunrise Park and Beach.
- Approved a special use permit to authorize a physical fitness facility over 500 square feet at 910 Sherwood Drive (Quest Performance Training LLC).
- Gave first reading approval to a front yard setback variation to allow construction of an open front porch at 407 East Prospect Avenue.
- Gave first reading approval to a floor area and side yard setback variations to allow construction of a kitchen addition and relocation of an air conditioner at 224 East Center Avenue.
The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting scheduled for June 12 was cancelled.
Upcoming Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting (June 19). The PCZBA will consider:
- A request for two variations related to the enlargement of the commercial parking lot at 101 Waukegan Road.
- A request for subdivision and variations related to the exchange of a parcel of land among 617 East Prospect Avenue and 454 East Simpson Avenue.
- Use regulations in the L-1 Light Industry district.
